Sounds harsh on the surface but from the rumors swirling, the UA Administration nipped it in the bud.

Im sure the coaches will be chomping at the bit to come to Bama now.

Basically, you get one year, and if little Billy and Johnny on the team who are proven losers dont like you, you are fired.

In fairness, whatever your team was "used to," the exact opposite approach is prolly the right approach. Seems like the snowflakes couldnt handle it

Jay Johnson must have told him he's willing to come.

Byrne believes Bama should be competing in championships in every sport. He had to see an opportunity here that may not have presented itself in the future. I really don't think you fire someone this quick to hire an assistant coach from your own conference - you can do that anytime.

Damn, that was quick. I wonder what Louisiana coach they hire next?
