Which is why we lead the SEC in all time draft picks with 337, 18 more than Alabama.

Not sure but I think he's responding to tRant's 'conventional wisdom' that Tennessee produces no talent with the implication being we're stuck with shoddy players. Dooley was anomaly in terms of recruiting though. Also, Tennessee has always produced great linemen. These days our talent pool is growing rapidly in Middle and East, TN but especially Middle, TN. And of course, we're close to tons of out of state recruiting pools (many of which makes us the home school).

That all said, he could've done a better job creating a topic here instead of just stating a fact.

The disparity between 1st place and 7th place is staggering

1) Manning and Jason Witten are locks. That's 4

2) lol at Alexander and Samuels.

3) Quality > Quantity. Arguably the GOAT offensive and Defensive players of all time trump any other list.

You've never accused Bama of living in the past have you?

Stupid thread. People act like TN has sucked for decades. Couldn't be further from reality.

You currently have 2. Alabama currently has 7.

Both are locks. Chris Samuels was a 6x pro-bowler and started at left tackle for the redskins from day one and was named one of the 80 greatest players in franchise history by the organization.

Shaun Alexander was a 3x Pro Bowler, multiple time NFC leading rusher, NFL 2000s All-Decade team, Seahawks All-Time leading rusher, and All-Time rushing touchdowns leader. 7th All-Time in the NFL in rushing touchdowns. More rushing TDs than Barry Sanders and Don Hutson.

Not as it pertains to the comment I was responding to:

Alexander has more total TDs and more rushing TDs. But I wouldn't have a problem with Lewis getting in.

Eric Berry is also a lock. Several others will likely make it as well just a matter of when. I'd be surprised if the Colquitt didn't get in and there's some other great players who are only out because they've had some run-ins (when they're older they will likely get in).

That said, I'm certain a player would much rather be drafted than get an award.
