It's easy to see why LSU fans expectations were overinflated

They took it directly from their head coach

I couldn't believe he said that either. you've been coaching football for 30 years, and you can't assess our talent level? maybe if he were more upfront about the situation, his rebuilding process wouldn't come with as much scrutiny. either way it doesn't justify a 30 point loss to the figurative butthole of the conference.

He's right too. When LSU's defense is healthy we are a top 10 defense. Outside of that LSU is complete mess. We don't even have a full time special teams coach, because the shrimp boat captain mismanaged the NCAA's ruling on adding a 10th assistant.

I'm just scared for Etling's life for Alabama. they're going to kill him with our pass protection

Even if he didn't have a grasp of their talent, LSU has talent and there is no fricking way they should get beat by 30 fricking points if they were prepared and ready to go.

I also think LSU doesn't have the depth on the defensive front to run the 3/4 quite yet. It takes some transition time to get those bigger bodies in the right spots and to have enough of them to rotate out. I think LSU will have match up issues with certain teams that are really big and physical up front.

pretty much. we have top 20 talent stilll. an elite defense, we SHOULD have good special teams with 939393 scholarship kickers on the roster, a senior qb, elite rb, and some other skill position talent.

the three horrific weaknesses right now are our OL, discipline, and focus. Etling isn't that good, but he's certainly not bad either. he made some really nice throws that were dropped last night.

anyway, what a fricking headache. LSU has two weeks to make adjustments before Auburn. We'll see.

Well State just abused LSU with Lawrence and Alexander out. Shelvin having to sit out for grades has been another crushing blow. Still a healthy Lawrence and Alexander duo is salty

Duped or delusional...

All we've heard is:

LSU is equal to Bama in talent, yet a major theme this morning is they don't have the talent.

LSU's defense was possibly the best in the country after man handling the mighty mormons. Aranda was the god...now not so much.

Canada was going to be the answer. After 3 games, he's got to go.

MSU didn't have a chance....

SOS just started earlier this year.
