It will be a shame that ESPN will win the war to keep Manziel from winning

another heisman.

If anyone has watched him - he is clearly the best player in the country. That Oregon system BS that flies every year in the Pac 12 until they play a good team is crap. Its like Baylor.

Johnny is sitting at half in the SEC with a shot to break his own SEC record.

Nobody mentions that A&M takes the gas off. But nobody complains about Baylor or Oregon running it up.

uck ESPN. Herby and Mussburger are pantless

Winston winning wouldn't be a travesty

He had to beat Bama to win it this year and that didn't happen

Not only is he the best player in the country, he's also the 2nd best player on his offense.

Johnny is the best player, greatest competitor in college football right now. He still has a shot with LSU and Mizzou coming up, but Mizzou's choke tonight kind of takes the shine off that one a little. Still, lots of season left.

But I'm sure if ESPN has to stop blowing Mariota, Winston is up next.

I would have it between JFF and Winston right now.

Maybe even have Mike Evans in there as well.

The BCS era has really damaged the Heisman (more so than it was already). There has been a very strong desire to give the award to a player from a team in the BCS title game.

Sometimes this is fine, as that is actually the desrving winner, but there have been a lot of years that makes the difference.

The last two years with RG3 and Manziel has been the exception.

Agreed. Mariotta can't hold JFF's or Winston's jocks.

It would not - but this year anyone that says Johnny is not the best is crazy. He blows him away. He is likely the best college QB ever. There is debate with Cam but he had a full year of juco. JFF has ZERO D. With any d at all JFF has 2 BCSNC.

I think he will shred the NFL. Has highest completion percentage in the SEC or is it the country. In the toughest conference.

This was the year the SEC had tape on him.

I hope the freaking Heisman trust can't get fooled by a summer espn campaign.

Be a shame.

The Heisman has always been a joke. If you wanna blame someone, then blame the idiots who make up the Heisman committee.

If I were an A&M fan, I wouldn't care if Manziel won it, because it means nothing to me.

To me at this point he deserves the Heisman, but he brought this shite on himself. You can have the attitude 'I'm gonna do what that frick I want' but you also have to face the consequences.

Good post redeye.

I posted this tonight because its the first time ive watched Mariota.

Dude is good but its a system. I would not draft him.

I would draft Johnny as a fast Drew Brees.

Anyone who isn't flat-out a hater knows he deserves it.
It's not even worth debating.
But something tells me that Johnny prob smiles inwardly at those who cast their votes elsewhere, based on various non-legit, agenda-driven reasons.
He's an amazing athlete.
And he has the trophy.
It's been an honor watching him play.
