Let's say this plays out, State finishes the season at number 1 and Ole Miss is number 4. Or if Bama/Auburn is number 4, doesn't matter. We have to travel to Cali fricking fornia to play the game.

I find that ridiculous. Congrats, you are in the playoff. Now you and your divisional opponent, located 40 miles apart (in the case of state and Bama), have to travel all the way across the country to watch your teams play each other.

Just a thought.

Welcome to big time bowl games lil buddy. Trips to awesome stadiums like the Rose Bowl are cool. Better than Nashville or Memphis. I promise.

You've never been in his hypothetical situation so shut your whore mouth. Traveling isn't the problem for him. It's the fact that you are gonna play someone who is located <100 miles from you in a different part of the country.

The #1 team gets the site closest to them... So if MSU or FSU is #1 at the end the 1 vs 4 game will be at the Sugar bowl.

i think his comment still applies, broham. it's weird, but not a first time for bama as a team or as fans.

First off, your route would be New Orleans then Dallas. Hardly across the country.

Second, who cares? Auburn went to Pasadena to play Florida State who is all of 3 hours down a 4 lane highway from them.

Also, this is the quote:

quote:

"The coaches told us this morning a lot of people came here from Mississippi ... that can't afford the trip, but they came here to support their kids. They are so proud of them and everybody is waiting for this team to explode."

Way to twist his words

If SEC teams are 1 & 4, the game is in New Orleans, not California. Number 1 seed plays closest to home.

He said that those who couldn't naturally afford the trip, came anyway. Not that all of our fans were to poor to go....
