It's a joke. He's mocking media who have been asking that non-stop because he won't disclose what Lyles illness is.

A one tweet joke would seem to be ok, but three tweets over 12 hours becomes weird if it's just a joke

ok. i knew he hadnt been playing and that strep or mono were the leading candidates as to the mystery illness. Cal needs to work on his material though.

It's odd, but I think the hashtag should clue most people in to the fact that he's being facetious.

The hashtag gave it away for sure. It is also fairly certain that if he was actually missing, the coach wouldn't be tweeting about it.

Of course Cal was being a smartasss. Even Ulis got in on the fun asking Tre in a tweet where he was at with Lyle sitting next to him on the plane.
