Tony Mandarich is a bigger bust than Trent, too.

So, just off the top of my head - without room for debate... bigger busts than Trent:

JaMarcus Russel
Ryan Leaf
Ki-Jana Carter
Tony Mandarich

Trent Richardson, 2nd biggest draft bust in NFL history and 2nd worst RB statistically in NFL history.

Has one player ever cost two different teams a number one draft pick, then ended up being cut within a year ?

Idk, Mandarich at least made a comeback and was a solid starter nearly a decade after getting drafted. Richardson is pure garbage and no way he makes it 10 years in the league.

I assume that is your way of not answering the question about Richardson I posted above.

Mandarich was called the greatest offensive line draft prospect ever, drafted #2 overall, and he was drafted before Troy Aikman, Barry Sanders, Derrick Thomas, and Dieon Sanders, and he was cut - not traded - by the team that drafted him.

There's no way to justify Trent being labeled a bigger bust than this guy.

TG has hall of fame potential.
TM is a solid NFL back picked in round 3.

Bust? Not really.

Win-win for the Rams. Take a chance on Todd(who has Adrian Peterson potential) and hope he's ready by week 1. If he's not you still have a great back in Tre Mason to ride and give Gurley all the time he needs.

You people act like its a knock on Mason that they took another RB. I'm sure both are thankful they have someone to split carries with and maybe prolong their already short RB career by a few more seasons?

I would never consider a 3rd rounder to be a bust in the NFL draft. In order to be a "bust" they would need to be at least considered a 1st rounder IMO.

It's pretty sad you are arguing for Trent Richardson to only be the 3rd to 5th biggest bust in the NFL.

Still plays in the NFL... but he does suck. Mason will be fine. If The Rams don't keep him he'll do just fine with another team. I wouldn't have taken Gurley that high when they have several young and capable running backs

Hard to pass on a talent like Gurley. Questionable pick with other needs, but they will be fine for years to come at RB for sure.

That's not even right. I don't think he broke 1000 yards. He did have over 10 td's though.
Richardson had 1300+ total yds of offense and 12 total TDs so receiving yds and TDs included. He also played half the season a broken rib. He showed a lot of potential but I don't know what happened after his rookie year.
