Yes I think so. They both should be, but the committee will only give 2 to the SEC imo.

I think Vandy would have to win the tournament to be a national seed.

Even with a Vandy win, I don't think they pass A&M. Maybe if they go on to beat LSU/UF, but I would have to review.

At this point A&M is 8 spots higher in the RPI, has a H2H win (a loss would only tie the 2), 2 more top 25 wins (Vandy would tie if they beat A&M and LSU/UF), and doesn't have 3 bad losses (Belmont 2x and Santa Clara, all outside of the top 150).

Fitt's take

quote:

Our other seven national seeds remain the same, though Vanderbilt has a chance to make things interesting if it can win its rematch against Texas A&M on Saturday. The Aggies are currently eight spots ahead in the RPI, however, so we expect them to remain ahead of Vandy in the pecking order. And we still like Florida a tick better than both. Having the SEC’s big four as the last four teams standing in Hoover should make things very interesting, but we don’t ultimately anticipate Vanderbilt displacing the Gators or Aggies.

Speaking of national seeds, anyone see the end of the ACC game between Miami and NC State? Bottom of 12 walk off inside park HR (sort of). Double off the wall throw in was wide at 2nd. Technically, I suppose it would be scored a double with a 2 base error.

ETA - I don't like those short porch high walls in leftfield. They need to move the tournament to a real venue with real dimensions.

Who are you kicking out if this happens?

D1 Baseball current national seed predictions

SECURE TEAMS: LSU, UCLA, Louisville, Illinois, Miami

ON THE BUBBLE (IN): Florida, Texas A&M, TCU

ON THE BUBBLE (OUT): Missouri State, Dallas Baptist, Vanderbilt, Florida State

I really doubt they will kick TCU out for another SEC team.
