Is the Big 12 on par with the SEC in terms of competitive football teams?

Perhaps the SEC is a bit stronger, but the Big 12 is very close to being equally competitive with the SEC.

If the Big 12 can make it to the title game this year, they will gain tremendous respect. Until then, they are viewed as pass-happy high school offenses with terrible defenses.
