It's kind of funny everyone jumping all over A&M's jocks now, talking about how good they are. They are a decent team, don't get me wrong, but they are a team who if they don't beat Ole Miss and Tech, will likely not be bowl eligible at the end of the year. Let's look at their resume:

Lost to Florida 20-17 (didn't score a lot at home)

Pounded 1-3 SMU and 1-3 South Carolina St (who lost to Bethune Cookman), and then pounded 1-4 Arkansas, who may not win another game this year, and has one of the worst defenses in the history of the SEC.

So, while everyone is all over A&M (I even saw an A&M poster talking about how talented Arkansas was...after beating them by 50....arrogance?), I think they are just about to get theirs. All they have done is beat a terrible arkansas team that has quit. Going to be a long year for A&M.

I for one think aTm is a mid-tier team who has potential to compete for mediocrity within the SEC.

based upon?

If they don't beat Ole Miss this weekend, I think they could possibly not win another conference game until Missouri late in the year.

No you didn't... you just didn't read the timestamp on the post. The post was from early last week.

I think if you look at it objectively and consider the circumstances for A&M coming into the season, you have to be somewhat impressed.

This season is a complete do over for our program. New everything.

There will be bumps in the road for sure, but so far, Sumlin is grading out very high on and off the field.

With Arkansas down it now appears we are in the crosshairs of VC/ tickfaw. I guess that's a good thing

Why? Seriously, why? you beat some teams you were suppose to kill, and you beat an arkansas team that has zero defense and has completely quit on the season. I'm not flaming, but drawing conclusions from your last 3 games is setting yourself up. You may even beat ole miss this weekend, probably should, but after that.....you guys are going to be in for a rough road until missouri.

By WHAT exactly?

I don't think some people realize just how BAD arkansas has been this year. Dumpster fire is putting it kindly.

We're an okay team with a ceiling of 8-4.

And while getting Ws against our opponents is not notable in and of itself, it's the way in which we're accumulating Ws that tells a story.

Again, we're an okay club. Our passing D is still porous and the effectiveness of our pass rush will be mitigated in the coming weeks (in fact, it was against Arky).

Not at all...I could be wrong...but I see everyone jumping on a&m and I just haven't seen anything yet that tells me you have a good team. You have played an awful schedule so far.....you need to prove yourself first in the SEC....and arkansas/ole miss/kentucky/vandy are bad teams....so...I'll withhold judgment.

As for Arkansas...I think I predicted that one pretty good before the season...along with Tenn and Auburn........although, I'll admit, I did not see arkansas as the dumpster fire they have turned into.

And who has LSU won against, who looked better doing it? Is LSU that good?

Wait a couple more weeks...

LOL.....in that scenario, you will have wins over the following:

SMU, South Carolina St., Arkansas, Ole Miss, and La. Tech.

LSU will have beaten 2 top ten teams, and a current team ranked in the top 25.......it's like you are trying to compare them together in terms of wins...you SHOULD win those games (although Tech thinks they are ready for you)...after that.....the road will get rough for a&m.

Middle of the pack. Maybe 4th in the division, but have had an easy schedule. Auburn would be 3-1 or 4-0 with that schedule. Let's wait until they beat a quality team.
