Reading comprehension is your friend. "at the onset" - from your initial statement, no reference was made to a specific time period nor the metrics that would be used to evaluate the difference.

First reference to time frame: "Right. That 47th ranked class in 2012 doesn't skew the results whatsoever"

Which in and of itself is an admission that year 1 for Freeze would make for an unfair comparison, *but*, no reference was made to the fact that it would include a year of Derek Dooley... therein lies an additional problem. You wanted to change the argument to Hugh Freeze vs. Butch Jones... rather than the initial argument that was made Ole Miss vs. Tennessee - which is technically independent of coaches. So if you want to argue semantics rather than logic, you still fail to make a valid point.

One would argue, that if you're allowed to both change the criteria being evaluated *and* select a time frame, Vols would be allowed to ensure a fair comparison - one that eliminates the bias against a first year coach.
