Is State legit, or did LSU just make the worst hire in program history?

As a GA fan, I'm glad that State will have our attention.

For LSU, this could be a wakeup call (see UGA after the 35 - 7 beatdown from USCe in 2012)

or it could be a sign that Coach Yaw Yaw wasn't the right way to go...

So my question is, are y'all more impressed with State or more convinced coach O was a bad hire?

Bad hire. LSU is loaded with talent compared to Miss St. That's also a plus for Mullen that he had a good game plan to win.

I would say a combination of things:

State is legit

I'd say 3/4 of the penalties were legit, but the call on Chalk for the early TD (taken back) and the second targeting call were bogus...

LSU is playing 19 freshmen...and isn't deep on the offensive or defensive lines...

other than that, life sucks and then you die :-)

MSU is solid.

Why are people blaming Ed O? We've been told for damn near 10 months that Ed is a CEO type coach, he lets his superior coordinators do their job.

State was well coached, played hard, intense, and disciplined football

But let's at least have a whole season of orgeron to compare to archer and hallman before we go crowning worst hires in history champs

I wouldn't say this quite yet. What if it's true about Mullen not beating good teams. I mean honestly LSU got beat they don't have a QB and got torched on D. I mean where has LSU finished in the west the last few years? And did you expect Ed O to give up control? And how good are these coordinators?

Again congratulations to state it's on them now to continue the momentum.

The answer is YES.

Obviously not. Mike Archer, Curly Hallman, and *gasp* Lou Tepper were all far worse for the program

They were certainly more prepared

They certainly weren't prepared at all.
