Is Ole Miss the SMU of the SEC?

A school that hasn't had a winning program in half a century finally gets tired of seeing the schools around them win, hires a puppet for a coach, and then uses its powerful boosters to steer recruits to said school.
The parallels are striking. SMU, who hadn't been recruiting at a high level at all, suddenly starts pulling in top tier classes like it was nothing. The same thing happened with Ole Miss when Hugh Freeze got there. Hmm....

Prior to the scandal, SMU was more successful than was/is Ole Miss.

Strikingly similar, but I think SMU actually has won 10 regular season games at some point in its history.

I hate to be the one to break it to you bud, but Hugh Freeze beat Bama two years in a row with less talented players. Whether or not Ole Miss is blatantly cheating, Freeze is a damn good ball coach.
