We all know he's won a lot of Championships. But has he won them because he has recruited great players. Or because he's a great X & O. I know what the cousin humpers will say. What does the rant think?

Arguably the most important aspect of being a great coach in modern CFB.

He turned around MSU, turned LSU into a powerhouse, had the Dolphins improved in year one, and he's not just winning with good recruits, he's putting on the greatest dynasty ever seen. Plenty of teams are just pretty good with good recruits. Some teams even suck with good recruits.

You should feel bad. You don't win this many games just because you can recruit.

Does being better at one or the other make one a better coach?

He's great at projecting an image, and leading. Both of which contribute to his recruiting.

Without better and more athletes Nick Saban is an average coach

He's actually pretty terrible. I think he was only able to get the job as a defensive coordinator in the NFL because he is such an outstanding recruiter

Are you suggesting Coach K, John wooden, and Dean Smith are not great coaches, but just great recruiters?
