Is he suffering from "low T"?

He is losing his edge. He is becoming a cry baby- literally! He looked like he was about to cry all night last night.

I think Nick Saban has andropause.

Saban is worried about maximizing social security. Not trophies.

No. If he has Low-T, he can afford the shots. Either that, or he can get some out of his players' lockers.

"You don't have to get a trophy to Be a winner"

Probably the most un-Saban like thing ever said, and it was said by Saban.

This Man has reached the top
He now knows winning isn't everything
When you don't have this carrot anymore
One can't realize it doesn't fill the enemy hole

Others are to busy thinking they need that trophy to to complete them. Saban is in a unique spot that not to many people ever reach. What's left for him to prove? What's one more title to him? Saban just witnessed and felt having more fun with a team that's not his greatest, but this was one of Saban's favorite seasons. What does one do with that when it's right in front of you? We'll see, Saban diffidently has softened up over the last few years at Bama after achieving historical greatness. Even though Bama didn't win it all this year, I enjoyed the character of this Bama team filled with good kids and players. I don't think Saban is so down doing whatever it takes to win anymore. I can live with all that too. We all look the other way to much, and all for the sake of winning.

I couldn't believe he actually said that.
Like a soccer mom who wants her kids in a league that doesn't keep score.

It's not that surprising of a quote, relative to this year's team, if you listened to anything else he said about the 2014 team. He stated weeks ago that this was his favorite team he's coached with the way they responded, no matter how the season would play out.

He just won the SEC, beat his rivals, won 12 games and made the playoffs in a down year. It was probably his best coaching job bro.

He knows this team overachieved. And gave him everything. Nothing wrong with that.

I remember the Bear's favorite team of all time was the TAMU Junction team. They also didn't win it all. And he had a few trophies.

That's important because the SEC especially the West was so strong this year?

The many thoughts on Bama's season
It's a short book.....lol

This was one of my favorite Bama teams(Right up there with 2009 & 1992 teams). They won the SEC and even though they came up short with a National Title. They deserve major kudos for what they accomplished. Bama this season showed great resiliency and had no quit in them all year. That was one of Bama best qualities this past year. It's easy to see why Saban loved this Bama team because of this quality.

It was obvious to anyone who knew football that this Bama team wasn't a complete team.
It amazing they got this far, but everyone else not being complete teams helped Bama achieved a SEC title this season. Great season and I really liked Bama players this year, but this Bama team never truly reached true Championship elite levels. Many reason for that, and they had a few great moments, but that's all this Bama team could muster up. It was enough for an SEC Title and that's a sweet Historical feat indeed. So this Bama team did well to reach the 1st ever CFB playoff as SEC Champs.....

Bama issues this season
* To many mistakes for one
* Not very secure with the rock
* During crucial moments in games Bama's defense gave up way to many 3rd and longs on defense all year long. It was as if it was criminal not to do so for them. This defensive weakness showed it's ugly head in the Title game, but anyone watching Bama all yea. Shouldn't have been shocked by all those 3rd and longs given up thwe other night. That's who this Bama defense was all year in huge moments. Championship defenses don't have the title "We give out 3rd and longs like Candy" as an identity.....lol
* Defense would give up to many points right before halftime, and at the beginning of 3rd quarter all year in big games. They always let teams back into games.(Defense was great in the red-zone though, and this saved Bama)
* Bama counted on the big play on offense to much and they weren't consistent enough on offense. To hot and cold.....
* This cost Bama a bunch too. For some odd reason Bama refused to run their best horses(Henry and Yelden). If Henry gets 20-25 carries a game, Bama is most likely contending again next season. It would be smart for coach try riding our RB Henry & OT Cam Robinson to a Title. Even when Sims was obviously was struggling Bama refused this, somewhat baffling.
* Saban needs to realize these quick 3 & outs Bama did at times all season(Even with huge leads non-the-less too) was putting his defenses in bad spots. Passing 3 straight time or twice while only taking a minute off the clock isn't Saban/Bama football. Saban doesn't have to reinvent himself, he just needs to get back to hard-nosed-running-the-rock-physical-football. Get back to time killing running offense and Saban will see his Bama defense shine again. Tired worn out defenses aren't effective.
* Terrible FG game. This FG weakness was survivable but why can't Bama find a 1/2 way decent kicker? This is beyond me. Thank goodness for our awesome punter....lol
* The whole SEC didn't have an elite QB play this season, and it got exposed nationally against decent OCC teams. Decent QB play, but not elite QB play. Sims was very hot and cold this season, and the other night Sims never got in the hot-zone.

Takes elite QB or killer championship defense to win national titles.
No SEC team could put the whole package together this season.

The whole SEC needed to eat some humble pie anyways, especially the SEC West. Many of these players think they can just show up and get it done against in OCC games. Many fans too.......lol Hopefully this will eventually sink in! "You better respect your opponent as if you we're playing your SEC nemesis or you'll get whipped". Every SEC team is the hunted now and every other conference is Rocky listening to "Eye of the Tiger the last few years" We'll see if the SEC answers the call or not the following seasons. Time will tell.

Until next season........
