Depending on your perspective it might be:

This year BYU football will play teams from every power five conference but one, including games against power house programs like Michigan State and Mississippi St.

Well they were ranked #1 in the country not that long ago. BYU may be catching them at the right time though, I think the 2014 Bulldogs roflstomp the Fighting Mormons.

And in all of their years they've had 1 conference title, 0 national titles, and 2 consensus all americans.

They had a good team the past few years, but not as good as Mich St.

We've definitely managed to score more points against Alabama than they did..

Have you ever known Brian Grimmett to lie? Seems like an unbiased source.

They're an SEC West team. Anyone outside looking in, yes Miss St would be considered a powerhouse program.

Maybe not powerhouse consistently, but they were ranked #1 just a couple of years ago.
I would say a Top 30 program...

You are mixing up your maroon teams.

Just like Wal-Mart did.

Absolutely not.

Mississippi State ranks #58 all-time in the AP Poll.... behind programs like Houston, Illinois, Boston College, Northwestern, Washington State, Oregon State, and South Carolina.

Would you call any of those programs a "powerhouse" ? If not, neither is Mississippi State. If so, then the bar has been lowered quite a bit to fit that term.
