Even Ole Miss can find a QB to beat Alabama. LSixU can't even find a QB to put up more than 17 points.

Just look the numbers on teams who run nickel coverage as their base coverage
are you trying to say that not playing in nickel is now stacking the box? Poor fournette, he could have rushed for 100 yards if only we had dropped 9 guys into coverage every play

Oh my goodness, the holding Fournette and LSU get away with. SEC officials need to be investigated for their bias towards LSU.

Didn't Bo Wallace beat you in his last game in 2015

Bro Wallace was not among the QBs listed in the post I responded to.

LSU starts throwing the ball down the field and it will start raining pick sixes.

Swag Kelly were not great quarterbacks but they both lit Bama up big time.

He was pretty good. Could play in the NFL.

And THEN you proceeded to prove that Alabama did, in fact, put 7-8 in the box against LSU.

Did you read the whole article or just circle the one part that fit your narrative? Let's see:

quote:

Seven defenders in the box is an advantageous alignment for such an offense. Eight means an unblocked defender, but that's a common look, and running backs can often make the eighth defender miss. Nine defenders in the box against seven blockers is very difficult to run against, and teams have to be able to counter by throwing the football.

So, we now know that seven defenders in the box is a traditional defensive formation. Bringing two extra defenders into the box, totaling nine, would constitute "stacking it."

Tell me, how many times did Alabama bring two extra defenders into the box throughout the game?

Thankfully, the author of the article made mention of this so you don't have to waste your time looking for it:

quote:

Uh, no. In the 16 plays examined (yes, LSU only had 45 offensive snaps), Alabama brought an extra defender into the box just six times and never brought two extra.

So they actually never stacked the box, now did they?

Hmmm. Interdasting.

quote:

..and this is after one of your own fanmates exposed the obvious above when he, correctly, points out that putting 7 near the line between the tackles is quite normal.

Of course 7 players in the box is normal. Four down linemen and three LBs. That doesn't bring one, or two, extra players into the box. What are you trying to prove here?

quote:

Jesus, sometimes I think the stupidity of Alabama fans is overblown, then I run into one like you.

A LSU fan calling another fan base stupid?

quote:

Just admit you were wrong, and move along to the next thread.

Better yet, why don't you read the entire article and give up this fantasy that Alabama actually stacked the box against LSU.

If LSU comes out against Bama next year looking to throw the Ball downfield

I think Bama will have to adjust and not put 7 or 8 in the box to stop the run

Once Bama starts losing I believe this will cause the NCAA along with now Ole Miss looking to bring others down with them will put Bama on probation as well with those championships vacated

Sorry Bama hope you had fun on Top

you hope we'll put all 12 in the box, bitch ...

LSU doesn't win in '10 or '11 without JJ at QB.

Dude, you said THIS:
quote:

Alabama hasn't really had to put 7 or 8 in the box to stop the run in recent years

When I said this:
quote:

They have against LSU.

I know Alabama fans don't want to admit it, but it happens.

Then you replied:
quote:

No, they haven't.

And now you're saying,
quote:

we now know that seven defenders in the box is a traditional defensive formation.

So now you're saying your previous statement,
quote:

Alabama hasn't really had to put 7 or 8 in the box

Is wrong?

But now you want to move the goal posts and say,
quote:

Bringing two extra defenders into the box, totaling nine, would constitute "stacking it."

And accuse me of moving the goal posts?

quote:

So they actually never stacked the box, now did they?

I never said they did, I said you were wrong when you said Alabama didn't put 7-8 men in the box - which now you admit that they do. As a matter of fact, now you say,
quote:

Of course 7 players in the box is normal.

In DIRECT contradiction to your original claim of,
quote:

Alabama hasn't really had to put 7 or 8 in the box to stop the run in recent years

quote:

A LSU fan calling another fan base stupid?

That's right.
