Naw. He's nowhere near as good as Tuberville was.

Wins and conference titles, for one. Head-to-head record for another.

No. Actually, the two are complete polar opposites as coaches. The only thing they have in common is falling just short of winning a national championship one or two times.

No, he's a slightly worse version of Tubberville. But a slightly better version of Malzahn.

Mark Richt isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer.

I'd say he's unjust.

Tubs was 5-5 vs richt, has an undefeated season, something richt doesn't, 5-2 vs top 5 teams, 10-5 vs top 10. He would win the big game unlike richt. I'd take tubs anyday of the week over richt.

Sarcasm?I believe CMR was better head to head (could have easily won in 01 and 05)...also had the same amount of SECC for the same time frame both were coaching.

About the same. Both great guys and decent coaches. I like Richt I just don't think he will ever win a NC. He's like a career military guy that would retire a colonel while watching his friends become generals.

Saban 4 star
Lesticles 3 star
Gus 1 star but would eventually become a 4
That redneck at UT - Master sergeant but never allowed in officers club because he's a redneck
Spurrier dad was a general
Bret draft dodger
McElwain 1 star workhorse actually goes into combat with his groups.

Richt is a very good coach. He'll win the SEC and maybe more before he retires.

It won't kill this stupid narrative, but it should.

He's top-4 in the SEC in terms of accomplishments and top-3 in terms of present day coaching ability.

When it comes to the "having a soul department," CMR is leaps and bounds ahead of Tommy "I push little kids down at the fountain drink station at Cici's Pizza and tell them 'better luck next time, chicken shite'" Tuberville.

Did tubs push your fatass into the fountain drinks as you were stuffing your face with cheap pizza when you were 8? Or was it that Florida couldn't beat him?
