You're so right. There's no reason we should ever expect to rise above our natural place in the music city bowl. You people are so stupid.
Being 23, I have never known an LSU football team that was not supposed to be at least competitive in every game. We have not been even remotely competitive the last 2 and a half games of football.
You can point at history all you want but that doesn't change the fact that LSU is looked at as an elite job.
I hate it for miles because he is all I've ever really known with LSU football, but his inability to adapt to a changing landscape is his doom.

As an LSU fan i think you are very close. When les started saban wasnt at alabama so you can scratch that anual loss. I think if our offensive scheme had evolved even slightly he would not be on the hot seat.
I saw the loss to arkansas coming. They are building a team to beat alabama and to do that you have to stop the run. Saban evolved and hired kifin. We did not. Once our run game was limited we had no plan b.
Fans arent mad because we lost its the way we lost. Never changed just kept on running towards the brick wall.
But look at all the national champion teams they played during that time. LSU has played some pretty good out of conference teams and won as well.
I love les and hope LSU rolls him into a position similar to mack brown at texas.

They are the winningest power 5 team of this century and are likely going to extend the current longest power 5 streak of 8 or more wins to 16. Coach Miles has a winning record against all Power 5 conferences while at LSU.Their blood's more purple than blue but they really don't need to take a back seat to anybody.

LSU is the ONLY team in the SEC that is THE school in their respective state. LSU is the ONLY team in the SEC that does not share the State with another Power Five team. Per capita, Louisiana leads the country in NFL players. LSU has the best game day environment in college football. LSU has top 10 facilities. LSU has a rich football history (ninth best historically) LINK. LSU has an unbelievably passionate football CULTURE. There is literally no ingredient missing.
Now, you can say that the SEC West is hyper-competitive, and I would agree with you. Alabama is currently dominating because they have the best coach. When he leaves (will be 65 next October) Bama is statistically likely to return to Earth. Of course, with the right hire, they ALSO have everything in place to win. Just like LSU does.
Now, while LSU fans find it TOUCHING that Alabama fans find it necessary to MELT in hundreds of new Bama-centric threads, we also see it for what it is. FEAR and LOATHING. Nothing more and nothing less. You have your anti-LSU Narrative and you are going to hammer it so relentlessly and so pathologically that you will eventually believe it. But that does not make it true. LSU is moving forward and no amount of melting by other fan bases is going to change that.
