Michigan is overrated. When I lived in upstate Michigan, near Traverse, I could walk into a bar and immediately pick out the intelligent, fun person from the presumptuous prick by looking for signs of their team affiliation. Michigan State? I'll buy you a beer. University of Michigan? Hush, your betters are talking. This technique for ensuring my time was well spent never failed.

Does USM really qualify as second tier? I'd call ole miss and state second tier. USM looks more third tier.
