Is it throwing the player or the coach under the bus?

When LSU loses, the excuse will be that they should have played Harris the whole game.
Obviously Jennings will not be able to score on us and Harris will since that is what happened the last two weeks.
Is this excuse an indictment on Jennings for not being able to score or Les for not playing Harris the whole game?
