Is it that time of year where we pretend spring games actually mean anything?

Other than being moderately fun to watch and "hey, it's football" not really.

Not every fan base can pretend the fall games mean something like South Carolina can.

It's fun to see new faces and to see how players have progressed.

You have to pretend that the fall games mean something?

I remember when Cam Newton still wasn't named starter over Neil Caudle after our spring game

Landing the top 2 small forwards in the country would make my day and that's to go along with 5 Star Center Jeremiah Tilmon.

Since you gave up and removed it entirely instead of fixing, I'll help you out:

Pretty sure last year SC was touting how awesome a certain dual threat freshman QB they had that would run through the SEC. Did he transfer?

Yes he did. And he was not touted because of his spring game performance, so not sure of the relevance.

Even if so, it further proves my point. Fun to watch and see new faces, doesn't mean shite overall.

Also who the frick said he would run through the SEC? link?

Is there anyone claiming that a spring game has any significance other than the final practice before fall camp and entertainment to fans of the program? I haven't seen anyone claiming otherwise though I guess you may be pointing out the dick measuring over attendance.

Better than pretending South Carolina football is relevant any time of year.

Here's one reason they should matter - word is KJ Henry was all in XT's ear about the shitty crowd and lackluster defensive showing at your spring game.

What do you know, 60,000 in Clemson and we got another big commitment.

They matter. It's a show.
