Is it pretty much a certainty that Kiffin is coach in waiting at Bama?

Unless he has sexy time with a big boosters wife or daughter I don't see how this doesn't come to fruition

Nah, I think he will get a head coaching gig before Saban is done

No, he's not even the favorite.

I'm pretty positive it's Dabo.
He has all but said he'd leave for Bama.

It'll be whoever Saban wants it to be. I don't know who that is, nor do I know how excited I am about that, but that is how it is going to be.

Lane or Dabo
We could very well make a run at Kirby or David Shaw too, though they may not leave their alma maters

I think we all kinda figure he'd take this job. But has he eluded to it? Curious where you heard this.

please please please hire David Shaw

I think Saban has taken a real shine for Lane

On my phone, but google it.
It's been asked to him by reporters.

Give him a few more years to mature and learn under Saban and I think Lane will be a really good hire for someone.

You don't think Shaw is good?

Shaw isn't leaving Stanford for Alabama. Ever.

Odds are at less than 9%. Probably not gonna happen no matter what.
There's no doubt that Saban is running the show. His word and direction are supreme in the program... but I don't think that extends to the selection of the next head coach. There are still plenty of boosters and BIG money guys that have influence in areas... let's call it on the periphery, just outside the main program itself. Kiffin is probably not in a position of endearment with those folks.
JMHO, and pure speculation on my part [cough cough].

He's like Les lite.

If Saban was out of the picture Les would be an all time great with multiple titles

It's Dabo for sure. Two years ago when it was rumored that Florida was after him, he pretty much said Bama was on the only place that would intrigue him.
