Is being a UK fan sort of miserable?

Your program is amazing. Honestly, haven't seen anything like it in my lifetime.

I think the miserable part would be this- every game is a lose/lose.

I bring this up because on the MSB I just read some idiots ragging on UK for the fricking Robert Morris NIT loss of years ago.

Kentucky is expected to win every game, and if they don't it's just hey let's make fun of UK. If they win, it's all who cares, they were supposed to. Or guys like V&S83 who will just spout a bunch of BS trying to discredit accomplishments because of all the cheating they haven't been tied to. (But will eventually, just ask any of the haters)

UK could lose one entire game this year in the national championship (unlikely) and that is a terrific season. But people will mock them for it somehow. Or they can go undefeated and have a historic season and people will say "well that's the expectation with 10 NBA players" or "they cheat"

I guess haters are gonna hate.

But this program is a machine

The, "they cheat" line always cracks me up.

A lot of butthurt Ark fans use that line all the time.

"Well, at least we have integrity..." is thrown around on other Ar fan pages like its the team motto. Makes me sick.

UK is incredible this year, its good for SEC bball that they are back. That being said, I agree... higher expectations for them than any other team, maybe ever? Rivals what Bama fans expect Saban to do.

UK = DickrideU

They gonna need extra Viagra if they make final 4.

They have been sucked off enough tonight. Go to bed.

Bama football was my first thought as far as a kind of expectations comparison. But even then, expectations aren't as high imo. Bama can lose to great teams in football (where it's harder to lose a game to an inferior opponent than it is in basketball) and it's acceptable. If UK loses any game in this tournament, they are seen by many as a failure- for one loss in an amazing season. And they really have similar expectations about yearly

That's about it in a nutshell. People bitch that this team is ruining college basketball, when you'd be hard pressed to find another team with that kind of talent that is that unselfish and for the most part keeps their mouths shut and just goes out and plays. And while other teams are dealing with players with some major off the court issues, this team has kept it's nose clean . Sadly, it's not just message board fodder. You have dumbasses like Stephen A. Smith claiming that the NCAA almost forced UK to fire Cal last season.

I wouldn't say it's miserable. It's quite a bit of fun honestly. And usually if they hate you, it's because you're doing something right.

I don't doubt that at all. But it's kind of shitty when win or lose, people are going to try to take things away from them by calling them chokers or cheaters depending on the outcome. Especially since both are silly and dumb cries.

I don't pay much attention to what the idiots with agendas say. It is nerve racking knowing that if we lose one game, the season will be looked at as a failure, not only from the talking heads and trolls, but also by our fanbase.

This is the most impressive part of what this team is doing. They have 10 players that could start for any other SEC team but only one is averaging 10 points a game. They are playing true team basketball and that is great for the sport.

why? so we'll have the best team in the land and we get to mooch off their money? them running thru the whole conference doesn't do anything for me personally.

Makes other schools focus on BBALL programs, and becoming nationally respectable. It has been a major focus for the SEC office for a while now, and seems to be paying off. When Kentucky sucks it has largely been a barometer of the conference as a whole.
