yeah that was my first guess as well. You can just see the Tulane bitterness coming out in his post.

True story: I once saw a kid who couldn't have been older than 14 smoking cigarettes with his parents at an MSU tailgate.

Walk around with a sign that reads, "Will get Tiger Baited for gumbo and beer".

On the back of the sign have it read, "Hold the piss balloons!"

You'll probably end up too full and drunk to remember the game.

Cool Story:

I interviewed a guy for an open sales role a few months ago, and it came up that I was an LSU fan. He admitted that he's a lifelong Razorback, and attends all away games. Apparently, his experiences at LSU were so bad for he and his wife that they would wear LSU attire until at their seats.

Yes.

They would wear LSU attire on gameday to eat and socialize and walk around campus.

They'd take off their P&G shirts to reveal Arky colors once at their seats, then would replace LSU shirts to leave stadium.

Wow.

I've always had fun in Red Stick. Ironically enough the place I've had the worst luck in regards to visiting is Arkansas. But then again drunk students are going to be drunk students.

Florida is literally the worst away game experience. Gainesville is a shite hole and the fans are white trash to the core.

I would have stopped that 123 lb frat boy from kicking your arse had I seen it happen.

My bad.

It has ups and downs like any experience in the SEC. When I went with my GF in 05 it was pretty rough, constant comments from guys hitting on my girl and really started to get pissed about it. When I went back in 07 with a couple friends it was a blast. People invited us in tailgates, had a ball. Game was outstanding. A little harassment after but most was in fun and good taste.

I am going to Tiger Stadium for the first time this year. I doubt there is anything there that I haven't seen before. Not worried about it in the slightest. Usually, the worst interactions come if you sit in the nosebleed sections with people who didn't actually go to school there. Pony up the extra cash and get some good seats around actual alumni and it is a good experience typically. I expect LSU is probably the same way.

It's just a dumpy, rusted, unsymmetrical, asbestos filled shite box, with a fancy new upperdeck that they don't realize is just lipstick on a pig. Power wash that fricker, fix the broken windows, give the railings some paint, and it might start to comapre to the rest. If you can stand sitting in hours and hours of traffic to get in and out of Baton Rouge on game days. Once you've put up with all of that then you have the pleasure of having the locals scream obscenities and throw things at you for four quarters.

Much of this could be said about the areas around Tulane. You are a Tulane grad aren't you?

Actually they have a brand new on-campus stadium.

Was talking about the area as a whole. Love New Orleans, always get alone with Tulane people, but there are some downright disgusting areas around that campus.

I don't know, you'd have to cross Broadway, and go a few blocks, the other side of Claiborne is pretty nice, as is across Calhoun. And then Audubon Park is across St. Charles, so I'm going to have to say that Tulane is in the middle of about a nice an area as you can get in NOLA.

It's not exactly safe, but it's pretty nice.

I would love to see an LSU Tulane game in Yulman, although I know it'll never happen.

Only in LSU fans minds. It's been surpassed by most big programs in the SEC at this point.

I have always welcomed opposing fans to my tailgate. I have met life long friends that way. What makes the SEC great is how the fans travel. I have had 2 bad experiences on road trips, but it happens. I had very enjoyable trips since. Come down to Baton Rouge, find a good tailgate and enjoy SEC football.

You can't act like you're on your own campus and expect the other team's fans to take it.
