finch, you are making too big of a deal out of this.

Like all college fan-bases, LSU has their bad apples, but it's a small fraction of the people you will run into that will give you a hard time, then hand you a cold beer and a plate of jambalaya and want to talk football with you. just avoid the trashy "LP" tailgates and the fratboys and i guarantee you'll have a good time and enjoy your trip.

Are LSU fans really that bad? I've heard of the piss balloons, but I thought it was a myth.

The relentless "Tiger bait" is annoying as frick, but everything else is fine.

can i wear my Gator PFG shirt?

It'll get you more 'Tiger baits', but if you smile and ask what smells so good, you're in. LSU fans love showing off what great cooks we are.

My freshmen year we had to wear a coat and red tie to every game during pledgeship.

We'd walk through campus & were often tiger baited. Annoying as shite

That's your fault.

There are over 120,000 human beings on the Baton Rouge college campus on a given fall Saturday.
99% of them will be doing what normal college football fanatics do at LSU - tailgate, eat, drink, walk around, dance to music, sing, cheer, yell 'go tigers,' talk with visiting fans, watch games at tailgates, congregate at the Union, on the Parade Grounds, at the Greek Theatre, Tiger Village (RVs), parking lots, the Indian Mounds, CEBA, Law Center, the Quad, French House, Alumni Center, etc.
They will either ignore visiting fans; invite them in to tailgates to share good-natured football banter, cheers, food and drink; or acknowledge them while walking around campus and in/out of the stadium.

The other 1% of them? Walk away or ignore.

The fact that youre 70+ years old, live in Alabama, and able to use the internet amazes me. The Alabama thing is what really gets me, I didn't know AOL had made it out there yet.

There's not a D1 football stadium that you should be afraid to go to.

It's no different than when Alabama fans come to your stadium. There will be some obnoxiousness. I've gone a dozen times, many of which my team won, and never had a problem. It's definitely worth going to just for the Louisiana tailgate.

Pardon me sir, but your ID is confusing. Is that what you do or what you have?

Look closely at that ID and tell me what part of it you can't comprehend ...

LSU is such a great experience that usually opposing teams play better at tiger stadium than they do their own stadium. I would think opposing fans enjoy it as much as opposing players

Your friends don't want to go bc they don't want to witness an Aubie loss.

They know full well that Aubie hasn't won in BR this century, and that the streak shall continue.

Florida is literally the worst away game experience. Gainesville is a shite hole and the fans are white trash to the core.

I love taking my rival friends to LSU for games. I tell them to wear their favorite teams colors. This is what they hear,

"Tiger Bait, Tiger Bait!, hey you want a beer? Food?"

That way I get fed. If we are wearing P&G we get ignored.

Geaux and have a good time. Wear your Florida shite nobody will care. Stand up for your school talk smack etc. You will be fine, just don't get or be around the super obnoxious drunks.

and 90% of LSU fans will take up for you versus our own 10% drunk dickhead factions. I have done it many times.
