I went to the State-LSU game down there last year and I really couldn't have had much better of an experience. Now that could be because we hadn't beaten them in almost a decade and a half and so they didn't really have any harsh feelings towards us. Or it could be that the rising cost to attend games has priced out the trash. I really don't know, but I was very surprised at how nice and accommodating everyone was.

I've never heard of a negative opposing fan story that didn't include alcohol.

The bottom line is that there are asshats everywhere, alcohol is usually to blame (liquid courage) and piss balloons are fricking real at LSU.

To the OP, just go. They aren't any worse than other fanbases, and AU is gonna win so it will be that much better

I remember in 2009 some LSU fan floored their mud truck to intentionally let out the smoke on the exhaust pipes on a Florida fan.

Don't forget to never walk inside a port-a-potty at LSU. Sumbitches will turn it over then minute you start to pee.

I have been to several UF/LSU games in BR. You just need to have a thick skin. Not as bad as you hear, the students are worse than the normal tailgaters.

Easily my favorite venue that't not Ole Miss. Some of the nicest people I've ever met were at Baton Rouge. We were invited to come hang with some LSU fans at their tailgate. They gave us tons of beer, liquor, food and one even offered up his wife.(Very Ole Miss donor of him) Honestly though you should go, don't miss out on one of sports greatest sights just because of what some pussies who can't handle some smack say.

I've been twice, and Bama won twice('08, '12).

Sat in the LSU section in the south endzone both times.

I had great experiences for the most part both times. Will go again.

because it is a myth

it's pretty widely known that LSU games are enjoyable for away fans. Show up early to tailgate, be civil and eat great food. You'll have a blast.

Its LSU/AUBURN in Tiger Stadium.

Its a must attend if you can make it, ESPECIALLY if you have never been.
