being released?
After outing Leo and Kobe and then suing them via rebel rags, would only be right thing for his name to be released also...at the very least.

They were not supposed to release any names. Keep in mind there are players from other schools they did not push like the ones listed. This is all about trying to get at an instate rival, period.

Rebel Rags is probably genuinely concerned with their long term financial viability if ultimately they are identified as rogue boosters. I wonder if as a business owner they could just sign the ownership to a spouse or something. Or maybe blame a rogue employee. Not sure how it works if the school has to dissociate.

Granted, but what does that have to do with publically demonizing a 20 year old college student?

Ole Miss gets better players, Ole Miss wins more, and RR sells more merchandise, so they also stood to profit from it from a business standpoint in addition to the booster angle. Therefore, if they are a party to the misdeeds, the business needs to take the hit also.

That was his choice bro. Kobe Jones snitched too, but he didn't go on twitter and bring more attention to it and make it apparent why he was doing it like Leo did. Leo admitted to taking money from multiple schools, ends up at state which means state cheated to get him too and he is trying to bring down his rival, not out of morality, but out of vitriol. He is demonized for something he chose to do.

Their financial viability is more closely tied to what the team does on the field than it is to an NCAA case. The school can't prevent them from selling merchandise they are licensed to sell by the manufacturer, nor would they try.

better have a strong marriage for that one. They likely, if they're smart (which is open for debate), have the business already set up so that stock goes back into the company at the time of death or sale, which helps keep it tightly held in the event of divorce, etc.

quote:

Or maybe blame a rogue employee

that's gonna happen if they ever realize they can't win the ridiculous law suit. They'll drop it and say they've uncovered evidence that a rogue employee was doing this.

Source? Is this on SpiritChucks magic tape?

Pitiful. He was an 18 year old kid trying to play football when the NCAA came and showed him what they had on him. He lied to them at first, until they showed him the text messages between your own Associate AD and the OM booster where they finalized the payments (from OMs official response). Ole Misses own response admits that they set him up with a booster who paid him.

It's ironic that Smith's greatest accomplishment in life is making butthurt powder more safe because there is about to be a whooooole lot of butthurt in Oxford

He freaking cashed in a LOT of chips after that.

Why would a guy who wins multi-millions of dollars concern himself or take the chance of tying his name to the actions of an 18 year kid? I'll never understand that mindset, regardless of the school involved
