Alabama IS better, both by record and product on the field, but Rant concensus seems to be that Bama is head and shoulders(possibly even torso!) above LSU going into this game. I ask what has led to this viewpoint?

Alabama has had our number for 4 years now, there is no arguing that. They've even played poorly and still come out victorious in the past. Saban is an incredible coach and he has the best talent that can be had, but it's still 60 minutes of football between a bunch of kids.

I've watched some(not all) Alabama games this year and I've been very impressed at times and not very impressed at times.

I've watched every LSU game and I can say the same thing, albeit there was much more unimpressive football in LSU's first 4 games than in all of Alabama's season so far.

Still, I'm not seeing what everyone else is seeing as far as how they are both playing right now.

Alabama has been destroying seasons, handing out losses to Tennessee, Arkansas, Ole Miss and aTm.

LSU has been dismantling its opponents since firing Les, as they should be. The opponents were bad and Ole Miss didn't have much to play for. That's not LSU's fault. We did what we came to do. Win those games in a dominant fashion.

Our only common opponent so far is Ole Miss. Unfortunately, we played them in very different situations, ours at home while Bama played @olemiss. Bama handed Ole Miss their first SEC loss vs LSU handing them their 3rd SEC loss.

It will all be settled by midnight this Saturday, but I think fans that watch the game will be surprised how close it actually is. I think Alabama will find a way to win, but it's not going to be a huge shock to me if LSU pulls out a win. 60 minutes. College kids. Anything can happen.

TL;DR - LSU Homer has the audacity to think his team has a significant chance to win a football game since his team has been playing well recently.

Here's to a good game, fans of college football. Win or lose, these games are the reason we spend all year thinking about football.

LSU is the best team in the country. Hopefully Bama can keep it close.

If you're trying to talk LSU-Bama just go to the Tiger Rant.

A&M and Auburn fans need some attention so they're out in full force over here

Bama is a lot better upfront on both lines of scrimmage.

That's really what it comes down to. Bama will be able to run on the LSU front. LSU won't be able to run on the Bama front.

LSU did nothing to close the gap. Bama ran for 250+ yards while holding LSU to about 50.

Bama is better in all three phases of the game. So yes, Bama is that much better than LSU.
