For 2015 at least? Even with what Swag Kelly did to Bama, after yesterday they have a strong argument. Florida got relatively lit up by BH and LSU has taken an unforeseen step back for sure. Perhaps with Mills back that will change.

Very talented DB's, but part of this has to be attributed to the much improved pass rush. Pressure does wonderful things for a secondary.

The scary part is that everyone but Jones and Smith will be back next year, and I'm not really concerned about losing Smith, Harrison has played much better than him.

No but we have 3 freshmen balling out in the secondary so that's something to watch for the next couple of years

Nah, no one in the country has more talent at DB than Bama does (though some have just as much), but I wouldn't say DBU. Definitely top 3-5 on the DBU list though.

Why the hell is it suddenly so important for every team to be DBU? Seriously people, this moniker is dumb.

And yes before anyone mentions it - I'm talking to gators too.

Smith will be addition by subtraction. He made some plays yesterday, but I'm more excited for the future with Ronnie Harrison, Eddie Jackson. Humphrey, Fitzpatrick, and maybe Tony Brown and Hootie.

Sheffield has gotten rave reviews in practice. If Tony Brown can get his head straight, he's the most physically talented of the group. But he has to get out of Saban's doghouse.

Marlon, Minkah, Jackson, and Harrison will be an incredible starting secondary next year. All 4 have a very good shot to be 1st round draft picks.

Agreed, DBs merely have to be average when you have that kind of pass rush.

I'm legit debating whether I'm even going to watch our game this weekend. I just got a new TV, and I don't wanna throw a brick at the motherfricker.

Right now barring a meltdown he's probably going to the NFL after this season.

The secondary is significantly improved from the last two years. I'm loving the job Mel Tucker has done so far. But our pass rush created their opportunities for big plays. Every interception that Allen threw, he was throwing it on the run. And he hasn't developed that skill yet. If he can sit in the pocket and throw it with his feet planted, he can cause havoc with those huge WRs.

But Bama's secondary looks very good, and many of those players are still young. People are going to hate Minkah and Ronnie Harrison over the next few years

It's not like we've played everyone's backup quarterback or anything. Well, not to start the game anyway.

When he had time to throw, he did a great job. Great routes and great throws will beat perfect coverage.
