Baseball brings in less revenue than hockey. No one calls that a "big three" sport.
There are only two sports that matter to schools when it comes to revenue: football and basketball.
If I want to watch a good baseball game on the cheap, I'll drive to the nearest AA ballpark.

Actually Alabama's baseball park is probably nicer than a lot of AA Parks. It's just that the team Alabama fields every year is competitive only if Alabama competed in the AHSSA

College football recruiting is bigger than pretty much all actual college sports. There's a Big 1 and everything else.

And Alabama has a profitable gymnastics program. When they win an SEC crown or even a national crown I may give them a golf clap before going back to what I was doing the moment before. I'd do the same thing if Alabama won the CWS.
A national championship in basketball would make me stop and gloat for an hour or two. That's about the extent of my excitement when it comes to any sport outside of football at the collegiate level.
