This year, after the first losing season under Hugh Freeze, a lacking recruiting class, NCAA issues hovering over the program, and looking at a postseason ban, Ole Miss fans seem to have lost all interest. The Rebels only drew 8,000 people to the stadium Saturday.

Quit beating a dead horse. They are down. No need to kick them anymore.

How did that compare to State's spring game? Same state, same size fan base, same size stadium, same weekend. But no cloud of NCAA hanging over them.
Genuinely curious.

Isn't that about that they draw for home games?

I actually take pride in the fact LSU doesnt have alot of people attend the spring game. It shows we have actual lives, and arent such pathetic losers that 80,000+ people line up to watch a practice

I usually only sign on tRant to flame rebels, but I'm giving them a hardy congrats on this situation.
Ignoring the ridiculous "spring game" is a positive that I wish more fanbases would adopt

I will never be able to fathom, that with the spring, when you have the best fishing, weather, crawfish boils, baseball, festivals, etc etc, people care, and more than even care, they make fun of others for NOT attending a practice

Not sure you should take pride in it, but I also really don't enjoy spring games. I think it's basically one practice where we start to overhype players who know their opponent better than they will anyone they play during the course of the season. It's also so much easier for QBs knowing they can step up in the pocket and not worry about getting it.
But it can also help recruiting. Our 93K day last year was really important for the program, and I feel like recruits take notice of that sort of thing.

Well they cheated, so...not like we're kicking a team that went through a natural disaster or something else they couldn't control.
