I just wanted to take a second to praise fans of LSU that I have encountered on this forum and in real life:

I really admire how practical LSU fans are in their fandom, and their perspective on sports in general. I admire how many fans are willing to call a spade a spade when otherwise the situation would call for subterfuge, and how quickly LSU fans are to get to the bottom line of a situation. I admire the passion for a whole host of sports, and the competitive example they offer not just to A&M but many ADs in the region that can sometimes get too focused just on one thing. I appreciate how LSU fans don't let someone else fight their fight for them, and won't just hide behind the guy with the fanciest words like many fanbases. The LSU fan creedence seems to be that everyone has the right to speak their mind, which isn't the case for many fanbases.

I know right now you are reading that trying to find the troll, but it isn't there I promise. Those are my honest to God feelings about the matter, and you know I am not lying because I don't want to lose my ban bet. I really do appreciate a lot of things about LSU fans, some of yall are perfect examples of what college sports fandom should be about.

There's only a handful of Aggies that are about more than just the troll and that don't take this place so seriously and this is one of the few right here. Always a straight shooter and can hear your perspective out, always open for discussion. Kudos to that sir.

There are, interestingly enough, a lot of LSU fans in the Atlanta area. My own brother is a die hard LSU fan. When UGA beat them in 2013, every single LSU fan I ran into was gracious.

Every fan base has their embarrassing fans, but all of the LSU fans I have met in person have been good people. (Keep in mind, I was born and raised a LSU fan, and lived on two different occasions in Red Stick, so I have known a lot of LSU fans. now, on one occasion of living in Baton Rouge, some made me absolutely sick of LSU, but for the most part....no problems.

Yeah yeah I get it, I am not "keeping in the lanes" which is taboo in these parts.

I just felt like there are some really great LSU fans on here that I have grown to respect, and they deserve some praise.

I promise the next Aggie thread about LSU will be back to your regularly scheduled program.

thanks for the accolades. I know LSU fans that fit your description to a tee; in fact most of them I know do. and all LSU fans will speak their minds.

we also have the bad fans. but there have been numerous threads about this already.

while i'm at it, living here in Houston I have met a number of Aggie fans and have to say that the vast majority are damn good fans and damn good folks. the "other kind" that I have met, just like the "other kind" of LSU fans I do my best never to cross paths again. life is too damn short.

Actually couldnt agree more. As much as we both hate to admit it our fanbases are VERY similar. The only 2 teams in the SEC that actually care about more than just 1 sport. And not only care but really follow. This place gets pretty rowdy during football season and then dies down after it ends. Ags and LSU keep this place afloat during the football offseason.

So while we definetly get at each other with the trolling most of the time. I think I can speak for most Ags and say we respect the LSU fanbase. I see alot of A&M in LSU and vice versa. (besides the piss balloons and sucking a tigers dick).

Heres to a long, heated, rivalry.

I feel like you described myself and a handful of other LSU posters on the SECr... Now the majority of tiger fans on the tiger rant are the complete opposite...

Either way If I'm honest this board is way more fun with aggies on it.

Yup, I hate to stereotype but it obvious that fanbases have certain traits, good and bad.

Yup, that is what I admire. Aggies have a tendency to put a spin on ALL bad news, which can be a fun exercise in some cases but other times it can be super annoying. I don't want to hear stories about how great the third string guy is when both starting QBs leave, I want to admit the situation sucks so when something ACTUALLY positive happens I can enjoy it. Looking for a silver lining every time means sometimes you are selling snake oil.

I think that is true for both fanbases honestly.

Which is why I took the bet and I am trying to turn over a new leaf on here. All the negativity eats at your soul, and take some of the fun out of something which is honestly meant to be a distraction from the shittyness of life sometimes.
