Oklahoma State didn't lose in double OT at Iowa State.

And

Oregon didn't lose in OT to Stanford last year.

LSU by a margin similar to Alabama's game vs. Notre Dame.

You mean, if the Okla State (was it their women's basketball team) team wasn't killed in a plane crash? Or if Joe Splookowski, AP poll voter from Peoria, Illinois, had decided to vote for Okla St as #2 over Alabama?

That caused them to blow a 17 point fourth quarter lead to a horribly overmatched opponent with a freshman quarterback making his first start?

AP poll hasn't counted as part of the BCS formula since 2003.

What would these have changed?

Imagine a team that can't score that has a horribly overrated defense playing against a team that scores in bunches.

Just because Stanford beat Oregon and Notre Dame beat Stanford doesn't mean that the transative property even remotely applies.

You know, I've been wondering this for a year: OSU fans always say that the reason they loss was because of the plan crash. Granted that might be true, but you never hear Arkansas fans say the reason why they couldn't beat LSU was because their football player died. Not taking anything away from the OSU basketball coach, but don't you think that a fellow player would devastate a team more than a coach who, lets face it, the team probably didn't know that well?

Just food for thought..........

And we won a championship after one of our players died and a tornado carved a path through town.
