Illegal receiver down the field

Tell me about this rule. Every time Florida would run the "jump pass" they would have lineman run blocking down the field. When Marshall threw the game tying TD, several lineman were down the field.

Do you get 5 yds or so of leeway? I honestly don't know and I'm curious.

They get 3 yards beyond the line of scrimmage.

Rule 7, Article 10 states: No originally ineligible receiver shall be or have been more than three yards beyond the neutral zone until a legal forward pass that crosses the neutral zone has been thrown.
