The razorbacks have had some trouble winning against FBS schools. With losses, in the past 5 seasons, to Toledo, Rutgers (twice), ULM, Texas Tech, VA Tech, they have decided to down grade their schedule.
Arkansas' next 10 non-SEC games:
New Mexico State
Coastal Carolina
Eastern Illinois
Colorado State
North Texas State
Tulsa
Portland State
Colorado State
San Jose State
Troy

Unlike LSU's philosophy which is "if you can't beat them, blame Alabama"

How long ago? Did your AD try to replace them with a P5 school?

Yes he tried but considering games are booked years in advance Michigan backing out 18 months out put him in an impossible spot and Colorado State was one of the only decent options. We did add Notre Dame in 2020.

Also A&M was an ooc game so when they joined the SEC it made us scramble to get a new P5 OOC opponent. Have had TCU and Texas Tech so far, not that bad.

We were in the same boat. That is why 2012 and 2013 sucked for us, but since then we've has Arizona State & UCLA (2x) and have Clemson, Miami, Colorado, and Notre Dame on the schedule.
