I feel a camaraderie with both schools to be honest. Since expansion, we have never been the blue bloods of the conference in either football or basketball.

Well since 92 expansion,
One has a final 4 in both mens and womens BB, played for a natty in Baseball, a SEC champ game appearance, and has been ranked #1 in football for a few weeks.
The other is a laughingstock about to get hammered by the NCAA.

I hate threads like this. Both Mississippi schools add value to the SEC. Ole Miss has made us look bad by rampant cheating but both Alabama schools have done the same thing in the past. With that said, I have always liked State so give me the dawgs.

We'll gladly take Ole Miss off your hands and put them in the Coastal. Road trips to Oxford every other year beats the hell out of Starkville.

State has an all time losing record in football. Lots of value there. Comedic value at least.
