Dunno maybe he manages to hire some crackerjack recruiting assistant or two. That's what it will take for him to be successful for any period of time. He doesn't seem to have the salespower to make up for any weakness at that on his staff.

Already been addressed and fixed.

Is he a great coach, no not by any means.
But winning the east with virtually zero decent QB's on the roster has to mean something.

Might have had something to do with having 21 different starters on defense alone. Just a wild guess tho.

Breaking news Tennessee is the only team to have injuries.

McElwain lost his starting QB in both the past 2 seasons.
UT had Dobbs.

Check out the starting LB's for UF vs. LSU.
LB's were two true freshmen. Davis and Anzalone out.

Starting safety Marcus Maye out.

Two starting DL's out.

Try another excuse

The fact he's gotten 9-10 wins the last two season with that shithole of a roster is impressive.

So you think McElwain is a long-term solution at Florida that will bring you championships?

He could be the jury is still out on that one.
The fact is no one is remotely close to beating Bama in the east, so it'll be difficult for anyone to win the SEC until he quits.

Indeed they do but none in recent memory have come close to the level of injuries we had. Derek Barnett and Cory Vereen were the only two starters on defense to participate or start in every game. And our situation on offense wasn't much better.

Reality isn't an excuse. It's reality. You deal with it and move on. Sucks that it happened but it happened and it mattered. Well unless you think Vanderbilt and SC were superior teams to Florida, VA Tech, Georgia etc last season....

You must have ignored all the injuries I posted for UF vs LSU.

5 starters missing on defense for a road game vs. LSU, Two starting O.L. and a backup QB.
And McElwain somehow won the game.
Do you honestly think Butch wins that game?

LINK

I believe Dobbs started every game the past 2 seasons didn't he?

You're bitching about five starters missing? We had more than that missing on defense alone. Not a single starter on OL played against Bama. We had ZERO DTs and were playing DEs in the DT spot. We had to run a 4-2-5 for god's sake.

Read the link provided, that is what it's for.

The headline is "Nine starters injured in two weeks a first for Florida coach Jim McElwain"

You failed to answer my question though.

Do you think Butch wins that game?

Yes and it can't happen fast enough. His recruiting, roster management and staff hires have been worse than WM. WMs recruiting saved him from dropping FAU, VU, ECU, and UT shitting the bed 2 years in a row gifted him the East. He's in over his head. Only the blind refuse to see that when he leaves the New HC will have a complete rebuilding project due to Mac taking projects at QB and DE, and under recruiting at DT, LB, S, OL

WM went 4-8 and lost to Ga. Southern at home, you dumb arse.

And left the team with 5 Offensive linemen on the entire roster, when McElwain took over in 2015

Here comes the "Georgia Bulldog, McElwain hating, UF fan" chiming in. You're a proven idiot, everything you've predicted the past 2 seasons has been wrong. You're wrong more than a broken clock.

frick you right back. Too bad you snowflakes can't see the massive shitshow about to hit. Don't complain when UFs looking like complete shite because Mac refused to fire Nuss, Nord and hire legit coaches at OL, DB and DC. I can't wait to tell you cocksuckers I told you so.

Mac took a team with Treon Harris as his QB to Atlanta. Then did again with Luke Del Rio and Austin Appleby. He's a f@cking miracle worker.

Muschamp led UF to it's first losing season since 1979.
and lost to Ga. Southern without allowing a completed pass.

If you can't see the difference between the two, you're dumber than I thought.
Which by the way is damn near impossible.

Don't make he post the facts. Mac is a worse overall HC than WM. That 2013 team had walkons playing on defense and offense against GSU. Kirby maybe a bad game day coach but he's a top not recruiter.Mac is bad at both at a top 5 job with the best talent at his feet. He's been arse raped by almost every decent team he's faced. His QB development and recruiting are so great that Franks Nor Trask can't even beat out a walkon from Bama. You're gonna be surprised when ldr starts the year. I won't. Mac doesn't know wtf to do and the curtain to this charade is about to be pulled back. It took me all of 1 yr to see it. You and the rest of the Mac taint ticklers will see it when he's canned. frick you Foley.
