If the game isn't played both UF and LSU should forfeit

UF deserves to forfeit because LSU was willing to work around the storm, move locations, move the date, etc. and UF instead sought to stonewall to get the game played to their maximum advantage.
LSU deserves to forfeit because they are now intentionally stonewalling all attempts to get the game rescheduled.
If I'm commissioner and the game isn't played you're both getting L's.

makes sense. punish lsu for being ready to play the game all weekend and offering to handle all of fla's travel arrangements. and now, because fla has the ghey, the entire sec is affected and potentially 2 ooc teams as well. if lsu loses a home game, baton rouge stands to lose millions. that definitely spells forfeit for lsu. good thinking.

That's the spirit! Turn down that invitation to the Belk Bowl as well.

This approach might've worked last Wednesday, before UT lost to aTm. UF would've been more motivated to play this game. Right now UF is thinking that playing this game isn't in their best interest, because UT will soon have 2 conference losses. Leaving them in the SEC east driver's seat the rest of the year. As far as the LSU athletic department goes, they already know LSU isn't going to Atlanta, so there is no sense giving up a home game. Giving both teams a loss might be the right thing to do anyway. It helps the real victim here, which is UT. It also sends a strong message throughout the conference for future games.

Foley not giving the Sunday or Monday thing more thought is tough to get passed.
However, if what I read is correct and Alleva called the SEC office before he called Foley then I dont blame Foley one bit for being irritated. At best, That gives off the "appearance" of going behind Foley and getting the SEC to enact a move to BTR instead of properly speaking with Foley first to see if he is ok with it. Sankey probably said "have you talked with Florida to see what they think?" then foley got wind and said screw you which honestly, I probably would have too. No reason to go over his head. IF that happened, Alleva was out of line.
If I'm Alleva I wait until someone else brings up that possibility then i say, yea, we could do that. This was Florida's home game and their ideas should be listened to first.
Now FOley getting all douchey and saying we just wont play period was as bad.
Again. Alleva is a numbskull and Foley is a primna donna. This will never get worked out. If Alleva gives in in any way the LSU fans will turn on him and he has little support as it is so he pretty much has no choice but to stand pat.

Stop. There have been 100 comments bout forfeiting the game. There is literally nothing in the SEC bylaws re any game being forfeited; the commish has the authority to cancel a game if the 3 parties can not reach an agreement but he can not require any team to forfeit a game.

I agree that if the game is not played, neither team should be eligible for the title.
Maybe some administrative decisions in both camps are to blame. Florida fumbled the PR game away and LSU made disingenuous offers that are irrelevant but make for good media and fan play.
But, you have to be a pretty big moron to think that one team is scared to play the other. That is just unthinking fanbrain at work.

which is bullshite and you know it.
how has lsu had an control over what happened?
all they did was try to get the game in

It definitely was in Florida's best interest not to play and try to reschedule later because of their injury situation.
