what does it mean to recruiting for SEC schools (particularly in the west)?

I think it may open some doors for at least several SEC schools.

None of the A&M stuff is at all a done deal, but to me it looks like the Big 12 has not even recovered from Colorado and Nebraska leaving... now all this fighting about the LongHorn Network.

Maybe they could replace the Aggies, but why haven't they replaced Colorado and Nebraska by now? Seems to me they are one step away from returning to the old Southwest Athletic Conference days.

Who are you going to replace them with?

Allow me to be the 5,696,433 person to remark how stupid it is that the Big 12 has 10 teams and the Big 10 has 12 teams.

$$$$$$$$$$. The same amount of dollars spread over 10 teams instead of 12. That was last year.

This year with aTm breaking I don't know if the conference can survive.

UT and OU will have a tremendous advantage over the B1G, Pac10 and SEC with no conference championship game. Getting to the BCSCG suddenly becomes much easier for OU and UT. Other then that reason, the conference folds.

I could be mistaken but I believe Fox owns TV rights to Big12 and ESPN to SEC and I think ESPN wanted to kill Fox's advance into sports so ESPN killed the Big 12.

It will not.

After spending an amount of time in the same conference as Texass, I have a great feeling this is their plan.

Over the last two years the Big 12 will have lost Nebraska, Colorado, and looks like aTm.

Texass will try and make the Big 12 these teams: Houston, TCU, Rice, SMU, OU, Okie Lite, Texass, Texas Tech, Mizzou, Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State.

Mark it down. Texass wants to have complete control over the Big 12 and they want easy paths to BCS games and NCAA tourneys.

Houston, TCU, Rice, and SMU would cut off their left legs to join the Big 12. We know it, Texass knows it. The Big 12 is about to be the old SWC minus aTm & Arkansas.

Plus six of the old Big 8.

I think Mizzou comes to the SEC and I think Baylor goes Sun Belt

The Big 12 is done and was as soon as Nebraska left. TX is going independent. The schools that are left can't stay in the Big 12, there isn't any money in it. They will have to join the MWC and the PAC-12. The PAC-12 would love to have TX, but TX doesn't play well with others.

UT and ESPN did not realize that pushing so hard for the LHN would blow it up. Apparently, they tried to call aTm's bluff again like they did last summer...and now you see what may be about to happen as a result.

Those poor f**ing idiots. We have owned them in just about every way imaginable.

Longhorn network -- nobody wants
Big 12 (Bevo 10) -- going down in flames
Texas TV sets -- Divided

Couldn't have happened to a more humble bunch of peensmokes. I really fear that we will have people jumping off the t.u. tower before the day is over with.

I have thought this all along. I'm thinking Texas will try to "save" the conference by adding other teams from Texas, or they will become an independent team with total control over their scheduling.

I have no idea what is going to happen with the Big12. But, I do think Texas is considering going it as an independent. The only thing holding them back is the Texas legislature. They won't allow UT or TAMU to do anything if it hurts Tech and Baylor.

This is hilarious. I guess we are gonna have another group of Arky's on the board with the Aggies coming in.
