If the 2015 Bama/LSU game was cancelled, who wins the Heisman?

Still offseason, so "what if" posts allowed.

Before that game, Fournette was the hands down favorite to win. I say Fournette wins. His remaining regular season game yardage was 91, 108, 159.

But....I believe that would have come at a huge price. Up to that game, LSU was 7-0 and ranked #2. I believe LSU would have played completely different games against Arkansas and Ole Miss if they hadn't been so demoralized by that Bama game. However, winning those two would have been horrible.

According to SEC rules, if a team doesn't play all 8 SEC games, they are not eligible to play in the SECCG, so LSU and Bama both out. Ole Miss would have gone to Atlanta. Not sure if that would be worth a Heisman.

This is moronic.

Henry had a really good season, but it wasn't great.

Neither Henry nor Fournette deserved it. They were 3 and 4 behind Watson and McCaffery imo.

Retarded Fournette didn't get an invite to NYC tho. If McNesse doesn't get cancelled he probably finishes with 2200 yards and 25 TDs.

what?

Henry set conference records for yards and touchdowns while putting up his best performances against the toughest defenses he faced.

McCaffrey stat padded against some of the worst defenses in the nation. Watson had an argument but this whole McCaffrey deal is just asinine.

Why is it stupid? LSU had a game cancelled (McNeese) due to continued lightning strikes. It could happen anywhere. If it had happened to the Bama game instead, there would have been no way to reschedule. No remaining bye weeks or cupcakes to shuffle around at that point.

Fournette would have won the Heisman.

Also, Ole Miss would have gone to Atlanta.

It is a "what if" that is similar to "what if" 4th and 25 failed. Bama probably misses the playoff.

Dumbest thing I have read here in a while and I have read a lot of bowljackson posts so you should feel bad.

Henry won the Heisman with his performance on Auburn. He had like 49 carries for like 200 plus. Given that him and McCaffery were neck and neck to that point I'd say that the Auburn game not LSU was the the ultimate factoring in Henry winning the Heisman.

Henry would not have had even a chance to win the Heisman if that game had cancelled. He would not even have been top 3.

Henry would have lost 210 yards vs LSU, and 189 yards vs Florida (no SECCG, Ole Miss would have gone), giving him only 1587 at voting time.

Fournette would have had 1710 yards at voting time, with his worst game being 91 yards, all others 100+.

No, the runner up to the runner up to the runner up to the runner up to the runner up would not have vaulted into Henry territory on account of having a game canceled. Good lord.

McCaffery had zero TDs against teams ranked in the Top 25 that season.

Thread title should be changed to:

"If we could erase Fournette's embarrassing performance against Alabama, and also turn the next two losses in which he did nothing except for two costly fumbles into victories that he dominated, and then we erased Henry's ridiculous numbers against Mississippi St., Auburn and Florida, who would have won the Heisman?

And it still wouldn't have been Leonard Fournette

Fournette had a far better season than Henry including the Bama game. Fournette also played 2 less games than Henry. Fournette led the country in YPG also...

What would have happened in my what if is up for debate. If Ark doesn't convert 4th and 25, you guys are not SEC champs, and may have missed the playoff.
