Why not just put the CFB selection show back another week too?

It would be interesting what they do

Also could work against a 1 loss sec team that needs that championship to make top 4

I'm all for letting Florida and LSU play the day of the scheduled SECCG.
If either team can mathematically still go to the game, have the game the following weekend. If not, play the SECCG as originally scheduled. Screw the selection committee.

Seriously, it's the best option.
It's too damn long between the SECCG and the bowl games anyway.
What date is the game? Like the 6th of December? Then the two participants, whoever they are, won't play a bowl game to at least say December 30, over 3 weeks later.

I understand what y'all are saying, but I'm pretty sure there is more to it than that. Literally everyone associated with the College Football Playoff would have to be on board.

If the other conferences get pissy about it, then release 2 playoffs and NY6 games rankings. One with the East champion, if they win ,one with the West.
Now, it would be a little crazy if, say Bama or aTm is 12-0 and theoretically could make it to the playoffs, win or lose, to be told that you're the #2 seed if you win , the #4 seed if you lose, etc.

Won't be needed, UGA and Arky will beat UF. Bama and Ole Miss will beat LSU.

Well, like I said in that case, play both games the same day. UF LSU early in the day, SECCG later on.

If game is not meaningful I say leave it canceled
Posted on 10/7/16 at 8:30 pm to thelawnwranglers
Should be played regardless

That's a cop out. You should delete this. Of course the game is meaningful : bowl game implications, possible strength of schedule seedings, etc. And GD it's more football!

Yeah true
Already beaten down by season I guess. We wasted a ton of talent. I went to Wisconsin game it was rough.

Hey, you can't win them all, Id like to go to games more, especially new places like Lambeau.
Enjoy them while you can.
