While Miles was still coach, and asked them to fire Miles so he could have his old job back, now that LSU has decided to fire Miles for not being Saban or being better than Saban, why not try to hire him back now?

Something doesn't add up here.

Wow, so LSU supposedly told Saban to frick off in 07 but now they are firing Les because he isn't Saban or better than him.

In the words of WSP "Makes sense to me."

Corny dogs

If you fire a NC winning coach

who averages 10 plus wins a year

expect it to be the biggest story in the SEC

for the entire year

And people to discuss it

And you said Les would be fired Monday or Tursday and you were not posting again until it happened and we all saw that you were right.

Corndogs really claimed that Saban wanted to come back in 2007? For real?

Yep. That story didn't emerge in the corny dog mind until around 2009. It took it that long to leak out to tRant I guess.

why do gumps even care?

You have the GOAT coach
YOu have the Goat players
the Goat team

You rarely lose and when you do it is your own fault

I just don't understand why you even care.

Just bask in your success and greatness while all the rest of us just it crumbs at the table

Yes, they boasted about having the better coach and that a Saban would rather be there, but they'd never want him back.

We're playing a bad Auburn team this weekend. We need something to amuse us.

If you were in Atlanta , at the Marriott Marquison the eve of the SECCG-----you know the story. LSU was not running LM off, he was flirting with Michigan. KH "broke" the LM to Michigan story. Calls were made and verbal agreements secured. A majority of the board voted to give LM a raise and keep him based upon a push by the AD at the time that everyone loved and respected. To be honest, CNS was an absolute arse when he was at LSU. He treated people like shite and there were a lot of people who were not sad to see him leave---especially after LM had great 05,06 and 07 seasons. Your 07 season ended in a train wreck and there was a ton of crap coming down on CNS. He was ready to bolt for familiar territory that he could control.

Harvey Updyke lives in Louisiana and we already had one mass shooting in Laffayette and NOLA crime is gotta control. We have our hands full. It is strictly a public safety thing.

There is no proof of this but message board BS from posters on this board. How do you know this?

And for the 1000th time this is being discussed because it's the biggest story in the SEC in years and the biggest mistake LSU has made since hiring Curley.
