If Coach O can somehow weather the incoming November storm, there's no doubt that Alleva will have to at the least consider him a top 3 candidate for the job. Should be #1 but I'd rather not give an absolute.

LSU will play five of the top six SEC teams over the next seven weeks. They get a tune-up against Southern Miss. If they can go 4-1 against Ole Miss, Alabama, @Arkansas, Florida, and @Texas A&M, it will be an extremely impressive job by Coach O.

I think the most important game coming up is actually Ole Miss. Lose that one and people will start saying Coach O isn't the man for the job. His momentum will be gone and it'll take a miracle to get it back.

Beat Ole Miss at home and everyone will start wondering if Coach O can run the table.

A loss to Alabama will be forgivable.

@Arkansas and Florida at home are both winnable games.

@A&M would be tough, but LSU has had success against Sumlin.

So Les had success, but LSU didn't?

Okay ...

So Les has lost the last 5 to Bama, not LSU. Sweet.

LSU settling for a coach with a ~5-20 SEC head coaching record

Typical for those third tier clowns

O will be considered, he will not be hired. LSU needs to hire a proven HC.
