If that's the way it worked--all top in-state talent always stays in-state--I could partially agree with a hypothetical situation whereby MSU became more competitive.

If they couldn't win the west with us having to recruit against a 4-8 and 2-10 led Houston Nutt program.....then it isn't going to happen.

Our top shelf talent comes from out of state. RD, LT, LT, Cody, Fahn were just drafted. Elston and Hilton FA
Mullens can't recruit out of state.

We have won the West and been to Atlanta. Unlike a certain SEC West program.

When was your SEC title?
Neither one is relevant in 2016...

Expect MSU will dominate in-state for the forseeable future. Who wants to go to a school where scholarships are cut back, you can't win and no bowl eligibility.
The guys OM bought in February are screwed.

I, for one, welcome our new Moo State overlords.

It has for the most part but hey-Death penalty won't happen-not to an SEC school.

I'm guessing the Alabama schools would hoover up much of the talent that otherwise would have gone to OM, with Arkansas getting a few nice prospects. LSU will get the occasional one as well, though they have all that in-state talent and no competition, so they won't have as many open spots.

Whispers around are saying that many of them will not be on OM campus in the fall.
