If Oklahoma joined the SEC, how would Big 6 posts be affected?

Would they be in the Big 6 with one dropped off? Would it be a Big 7? It would certainly make those off-season posts more entertaining. What say you Rant?

Until they win a few SEC titles they're little 9. Success in other conferences is irrelevant. Same would be true for Mich, ND, USCw, etc.

If you have to ask, then you don't understand how the Big 6 works

7 national championships
45 conference championships
5 Heismans

Bama would be the only team above them.

Minimum eligibility requirements are winning a SEC championship.

Not sure why I should care about OU's lower tier conference championships

Until a few years ago we were clear cut #2. Now the lines are blurred between us and LSU, but we're still not on the bottom dumbass.

Playing in the Big12 =/= playing in the SEC. But they have been very successful there as you all know. They have done well even lately in SEC match-ups including "big stage games." I don't think immediate membership would be in order. But they would, I think, be farther up the line than any of the other expansion teams.

The Vols now trail their all-time series against both Auburn and Florida by 7 games.... no small deficit. Your series lead over Georgia is down to just a single game, with Georgia winning 6 of the last 7.

I'd say the lines have blurred up against all the other BIG 6 teams. Tennessee is still #2 with all things considered. But there used to be a clear separation between Tennessee and the other four. Now there is a clear separation between Alabama and the other 5. You are closer to Georgia, Auburn, and Florida than you are to Alabama.

Oklahoma has a 108-46-9 all-time record against current SEC teams.... that includes an 8-4 all-time record against the "Big 6".

Oklahoma is the #2 program all-time (nationally speaking). Of course there would be a "Big 7" at that point.

Care to justify this statement? You can't coast on the Neyland years forever

Since Neyland, Tennessee is worse than Auburn in conference championships, national championships and generally anything that matters

You can't be part of the Big 6 without a SEC championship. They can be included the day that happens
