Assuming Auburn beats Missouri, what would this mean for the SEC? It almost seems like this would be a good thing, perception wise.

It would mean that Auburn lost to a top two team and the Rant needs to stop overreacting so damn much.

Gus is working on a special fullback twirleybird QB package for that game.

Why would this be good for the SEC? Seems like if MSU beats UGA it would be better for them to stay undefeated and beat AU.

Well I mean everyone acts like MSU being a solid SEC #2 means that the SEC is way down. But if Auburn beats us then you would have three teams in the west with legitimate shots at 10 win seasons.

MSU can't continue to be the torch bearer in the SEC. Time to just worry about ourselves.

It is the Aubies who over react. They lost a one possession game to the Champs on the road early in the season. Then, they act like their season is over. Not all of them, of course, but many of them.

If you keep rolling through your schedule it won't matter though. I'd rather it be an undefeated MSU than a one loss AU team at the end.

Let's play 'Mike Dubose was 17-10 midway through the 4th against a startup FCS after showing the same old signs of retardation,' but I'm sure you're just joking.

Eh

Auburn looked mediocre against GSU, shitty against Clemson and shitty but productive against the vastly overmatched Mercer.

We're probably not THAT far off from actually deserving a ranking in the top 15 or so. A decent offense probably puts us there. But, we don't trust Gus, have poor O line play, can't get consistent WR play, are thin at QB and are a little more worried about RB than expected.

I don't see this Auburn team competing for much. But I don't think they have to improve vastly to be an 8-10 win team with the way the conference looks right now.

I wasn't joking or trolling, Mr insecurity. Many Auburn posters on here did over react to losing to Clemson. I didn't mention Mercer, or Dubose. All I said is some Auburn fans acted like the season is over because they had an early season setback. And here you are over reacting to that.

Quite a few did I agree, but let's not pretend many others on this board haven't.

Auburn's defense is ranked 2 in total defense, despite playing a tough opponent. Sure the offense has some issues in pass protection, and some guys had some butterfingers. Offenses improve as the year progresses and it seems like every champion has had a setback lately. I am not saying I think Auburn will be in the playoffs, but stranger things have happened. I mean if auburn oline starts to gel, then Auburn has all of the other pieces.

MSU plays three games, beats one SEC team, and suddenly they're running against Bama for a conference title? Is that how it works?
