Serious Question... If Les was at Bama, would he have had as much success assuming all things equal? He can flat out recruit and is smart enough to hire good coaches every so often.
My personal feelings is he would be as successful there or even more considering Bama recruits for itself.
What do the ranters think?
Not flaming, just a boring night before the weekend...

this will not go well

eta: also you cant really do this hypothetical without knowing the circumstances surrounding it. would miles have followed the exact same path to get there as in win a title at lsu go to nfl the come back to bama. how would this hypo work?

He would average 10 wins a season at Bama as well under your criteria,I've always thought he was a damn good one.

He built Okie state into what it is today.

Just football.
He is hired as head coach. He recruits and does what he does...
I like NS as a coach. Most ranters know this.

Just stating good coaches can win anywhere.
75 wins in 7 years with no DCs one year and an OC that lost his freakin mind after we lost our starting QB, proves the guy can coach.

I hear that, and funny how he picked Bama over Okie state in the coaches poll, thus why you won't find many Bama fans hating on the guy.

disagree with this. Not sure if serious.
I believe he would recruit well, just not sure with AU there how good it really would be. I bet he would still sign a crap load of 4 and 5*s.

This. I can damn well guarantee you that. And Bama fans would not be happy with 1 national title in 7 years on a 2 loss team. Bricks would be thrown after a 21-0 loss in a national title game.

Miles would never be embraced by Bama fans.

Depending on whether he came in before or after Saban.

If he was hired after Saban built the program up to a championship team, he would have been able to keep the team rolling..... (cough, LSU).

And ours combined, but tbh, like you bring up,it isn't like Saban owns him, hell he had a winning record against him going into that game..

I like how Miles wants to go against the best.
