If Miles is hired by the Longhorns, would A&M be more or less willing to play?

I know you guys have no desire to play the horns as things stand now. But, if Miles were running the show, would that make it worse? Or would you guys want to play them, Miles being a horrible coach and all? =)

I would like to play them, but I do not want them in the SEC.

9 votes the whorns will never get:

Ole Miss
Arkansas
Alabama
Aggy
Georgia
Florida
South Carolina
Kentucky
Mizzou

Miles would be a great hire by Texas. Like him or not, great coach.

Did they really chicken out and say no to that Cotton Bowl matchup a couple years back?

Only one team here has begged the SEC to avoid the horns in bowl games. Scared little aggots.

I'd play them regardless of who their coach is; however, I have zero pull when it comes to that decision.

They didn't even get invited. But they did say they would not accept an invite against Aggy. I highly doubt they would have actually denied the Cotton Bowl though.

Miles would be a terrible hire by Texas. He's a better fit at Purdue.

The issues between the two universities have nothing to do with coaches; so that's irrelevant.

I couldn't care less whether or not we play 'em.
I'm great with the way things are; I'd also be fine driving down the road to Austin for a game.
(though it's been really nice not having to interact with their fans--on a sports-level, anyway [obviously we live with 'em on a daily basis]).

Not sure what the deal is with television re: opponents who play the horns (does the game have to air on the LHN?); but that could be a non-starter from the get-go.

You mean the Texas bowl that you barely got invited too? We were selected by a higher bowl because we had a better record. Y'all were rejected and sent to a lower bowl because you were a second tier team

some of you guys are imbagents. The longhorns are looking for a breath of fresh air, should they fire Strong. He would not even be on a long list due to not being able to adjust and his age. Geez

You weren't selected to shite. Your conference decides where your teams play in bowls once the major bowls make their selections. They don't want you playing a bowl in Texas (especially in Houston) and losing to a BIG XII team for fear of harming the recruiting pipeline they've established there so they shipped you off to the Music City Bowl last year and let LSU handle Texas Tech.

Your conference schedules bowls that way to create the most advantageous matchups for....your conference. They certainly don't believe you can carry the banner in your home state in a bowl game so they ship you off to a place where you can't do any damage. Real talk.

Our conference will put us against OU in the sugar bowl if we don't make it to the CFP. They know we can handle OU. Real Talk.

They don't have any control over the Sugar Bowl, dumbass.

You let a team of cripples put 678 yards of offense on you and let Dobbs torch you for 400 through the air. Our offense is better than theirs and it's not close. What do you think Baker Mayfield & Co. would do to your defense? Real talk.

wait a minute, am I missing something, or wasn't it Texas that cancelled the annual game as retaliation on aTm for coming into the SEC?

same goes for Kansas & Mizzou

my understanding is that aTm wanted to keep the game and always has been open to putting Texas back on the schdule...
