I would cut a check and kiss his attorney on the cheek to make him go away. If not all of the behavior from Freeze, the team will be spilled and that's before the NCAA finalizing their side.

The AD hasn't done one logical thing throughout this 2-3 year long investigation. Not surprised they continue to double down on stupid.

These guys seem pretty intent on taking the whole thing down in flames. I mean, yeah, the smart thing to do would be to pay that dick as much as he wants, but like every other thing these clowns have done over the last three years, they are going to make the exactly wrong decision.

Like if you have three choices to make, one is good, the second is acceptable, and the third is disasterously wrong, Ole Miss chooses 3 every time

He should cut a big check and make a very public "heartfelt" apology to Mr. Nutt.

Still won't be enough to save him.

For some reason I think they have it in their heads that by being defiant that they're somehow going to take down the NCAA and everyone else in it. They are so un-self aware that nothing is going to change except they are going to burn their entire athletic department down. They could have mitigated all of this years ago by self reporting like competent ADs do or, at minimum, cooperated instead of screaming "catch me if you can."

This. Either Bjork is delusional and thinks they weren't in the wrong or he flat out didn't care as long as they were being Bama.

There's already blood in the water. It's too late now.

Some reporter would just pick up where they left off.

I don't think it's about money for Nutt. He wants to coach again, and the allegations have hurt his prospects.

They've had months to payoff people and force their resignations. Instead they're locking arms until they're picked off one by one. Bjork is the next to go. God only knows where it stops. The worst handling of a scandal ever.

you guys seriously don't understand. The AD at OM has no power. They are a figurehead for a group of boosters. The next guy they hire will be someone that can be manipulated as well. Matt Luke is interim coach probably will get the head coach job because he is an OM guy.

I am reminded of a what a former UN Secretary-General said about Palestine. "They have never missed an opportunity, to miss an opportunity."

This. The only explanation is that his every move is subject to private committee of boosters trying to cover their arse. There isn't anybody in charge down there, it seems like...

We're talking about a guy that posts selfies on social media... while wearing a wrestling belt. And a guy who opts to get in a tweeting fight with fans of opposing schools.

Not a stellar track record of decisions, considering his pay grade.

National media outlets/journalists have "boots on the ground" in masses all over Memphis & Oxford as we type.

Nutt/Mars gutted 'em, no amount of money to Nutt will stop the bleeding now that sharks are in the water.

At this point paying Nutt is irrelevant. The genie is out of the bottle.
